Khuda Aur Mohabbat: Season 1 tells the spiritual love story of two star-crossed lovers, Hammad and Imaan. Hammad, a young man from a wealthy, elite family who has just finished his Bachelor's in Commerce, is thrown off course by a chance encounter with Imaan, the daughter of the devout Moulvi Aleemuddin. It's love at first sight — and one that costs Hammad everything he's known. He walks away from his family and privileged lifestyle, taking up gruelling work as a porter, all in pursuit of becoming someone worthy of Imaan. Along this difficult road, he stumbles onto something unexpected: a genuine spiritual awakening and a deeper understanding of faith.
But Moulvi Aleemuddin refuses to accept the idea of a love marriage, and cannot forgive Hammad for falling for his daughter. Under mounting family pressure, Imaan is forced into marriage with her cousin Abdullah, and pleads with Hammad to move on and return home. Hammad refuses — his love for her runs too deep to let go. Torn between her father's wishes and her feelings for Hammad, Imaan finds herself trapped in an impossible situation that takes a devastating toll on her health, while Hammad's refusal to walk away only deepens her anguish.
