Saife Hassan’s Explanation

Saife Hassan responded by saying the “Sonu Dangerous” in the drama is not the real choreographer. He explained that during auditions, the team used a different director’s call-sheet named “Sonu Dangerous” for a dancer. None of the makers knew about the real artist. He said this name was just a random alias used internally — not meant to refer to the real person. 

He also noted that the dancer and choreographer working on the show belonged to another group. His team did not copy or refer to the real Sonu Dangerous’s career. 

Why This Clarification Matters

Many viewers felt the drama unfairly hurt a real artist’s reputation. Meanwhile, Saife’s statement aims to clear confusion.

In addition, this incident also highlights the responsibility of a creator with regards to a story and its characters. For example, even if the creator uses a totally made-up name for a character, that name may create a real impact because of the similarity to an actual person.
