Biography

Shaan Shahid (Armaghan Shahid) is a senior Pakistani actor, director, writer, producer, and model, most known for being multifaceted in the film industry. Shaan got his start at 19 years of age in Javed Fazil’s Bulandi, and has since acted in over 500 movies, making him an established performer in one of the most active cinematic countries. He became known for his standout roles in dramas such as Ghoonghat, Sangam, Mujhe Chand Chahiye, Khuda Kay Liye, and Waar, the highest box office grossing film in Pakistan.
Shaan has also been able to direct in some large projects, including Guns and Roses – Ik Junoon, Moosa Khan, and Mujhe Chand Chahiye. This shows that he is experienced in presenting ambitious stories beyond acting. Shaan is the brand ambassador of companies like Lux, Pepsi, and Mobilink Indigo, and was the goodwill ambassador for UNICEF’s “One Pack = One Vaccine” campaign in Pakistan in 2004. Shaan’s career continued in other fields after acting, such as endorsing sports brands (i.e., Lahore Qalander’s (PSL), Kashmir Premier League, and Punjab Sports Board). Shaan also hosted a morning show for Geo News called Eid K Special Paka Guru, which showcased different ways to connect with the public on-screen. A very proud family man, his daughter Bahisht Shahid is studying at the National College of Arts, Lahore, for film writing, direction and acting. Shaan has supported her and continues to commend her creative abilities publicly, and appreciates the family’s legacy in media. He is widely respected not only for his cinematic achievements but also for his patriotism, philanthropy, and lasting impact on Lollywood’s evolution.
