Nazia Hassan (April 3, 1965 – August 13, 2000) was a legendary Pakistani pop singer, songwriter, lawyer, political analyst, and humanitarian. Widely celebrated as the “Queen of South Asian Pop Music”, she holds a pioneering place in the evolution of pop music in the South Asian subcontinent. Her musical journey began in the 1980s when she rose to fame as part of the sibling duo Nazia and Zoheb, alongside her brother Zoheb Hassan.
