The drama Jama Taqseem is winning praise for its tough themes around joint-family issues. Yet, fans recently hit back hard following a fashion shoot with two of its young stars, Nazeeha Zainab and Elahi Bux Khan.
The duo, nazeeha and elahi appeared in a makeup brand’s shoot together. They looked elegant and classy. However, fans felt the timing was completely off. Their characters on Jama Taqseem aren’t supposed to end up together—so the shoot sent confusing signals.

The makeup artist defending the concept said: “This has nothing to do with the drama. Actors are artists, shoots are separate.”
Many viewers reacted immediately. One wrote: “Bad timing.” Another warned against “romanticizing forced marriage in this case.”
Social media comments showed deeper concern: some argued that portraying these two—whose on-screen storyline dealt with harassment—together in a bridal, romantic shoot was insensitive. One user added: “Why glamorize something that’s shown as traumatic in the story?”

At Six Screen Entertainment, we see this incident as revealing how context matters—especially in dramas dealing with serious themes. When actors promote content that contradicts their storyline it develops misunderstanding among fans.
Creators and brands need to be aware: audiences today don’t just see faces and dresses—they see meaning, implication and responsibility.
The bridal shoot featuring Nazeeha Zainab and Elahi Bux Khan created buzz—but not for the right reasons. It reminds us that storytelling is not only what appears on-screen. It’s what happens off-screen, in images and promotions too.
