Farah Yousaf recently addressed the swirling rumours that she and Iqrar ul Hassan had separated. For days, social media guessed and speculated. At a podcast interview, she finally clarified things — there is no separation between her and Iqrar.

The confusion began when Farah appeared online using her father’s name, “Yousaf”, instead of “Iqrar”, on some social accounts. A fan asked her directly if this meant she had separated from her husband. Farah explained that she kept her father’s name for verification reasons on older accounts.
Changing it would result in her losing her verified badge. She added that both “Farah Yousaf” and “Farah Iqrar” are her names and both hold value for her. Due to the name change and the lack of a public statement earlier, many assumed a separation. Farah’s silence for a while added to the rumours.
In her interview, Farah said the claims of separation were “people writing whatever they want”. She emphasised there is no split. She also shared that she values her father’s name deeply, which is why she uses “Yousaf”. When asked about moving her biography to “Farah Yousaf”, she said she might consider it. Her message was calm and firm.

She also subtly addressed the reality of public figures dealing with personal matters. She said people often assume the worst when something small changes.
At Six Screen Entertainment, we believe Farah’s statement sheds light on how celebrities face pressure from both social media and their public image. A name change, an archive photo, or silence can be misunderstood in a breakup. This shows that not everything viral is true. Farah choosing to use her father’s name is her choice, and it shows the respect she carries for her roots.
