Jamshed Mahmood Raza, widely known as Jami, is an acclaimed filmmaker from Karachi, Pakistan. He studied filmmaking at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California, before returning to Karachi in 1998 to establish the production company Azadfilm.
Jami made his directorial debut with the music video Pal Do Pal, a groundbreaking work that helped redefine the music video landscape in Pakistan. Since then, he has directed numerous award-winning and critically acclaimed music videos for some of the country's most celebrated artists, including Strings, Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali (Fusion), Ali Azmat, and Hadiqa Kiani.
In 2002, Jami expanded into commercial filmmaking, quickly earning recognition for creating visually compelling and impactful advertising campaigns. His portfolio includes work for many of the world's leading brands, such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Nokia, Tang, Nestlé, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, and Standard Chartered Bank.
With a diverse body of work spanning multiple styles, genres, and techniques, Jami is known for his commitment to purity, simplicity, and authentic storytelling.
