Zanjeerain Episode 20 Review: Sarbuland Finally Stands Against Sohrab

Following the tragic and heart-rending events of the previous episodes, Zanjeerain Episode 20 aired on July 8, 2026, in a different way. This time, we do not see any shocking turn of events as seen in previous episodes; however, each character gets some time to reflect on what they went through at the death of Sher Bano.

Sarbuland Struggles With Sher Bano's Absence

The episode commences with Sarbuland who happens to be played by Danyal Zafar is seen alone in the empty room of Sher Bano. The look he gives around indicates silence which is greater than words while he remembers the happy moments he had with the girl. The emotions of Sarbuland seem to be genuine even though they are suppressed. Rather than relying on the dialogues, this entire scene is built through his looks. The empty space is a strong reminder of Sarbuland’s losses and creates a heavy impact on the audience.

Sohrab Continues His Psychological Game

Sarbuland is in deep sorrow but Sohrab does not miss the chance to demonstrate how dangerous he can be. Sohrab takes advantage of Sarbuland's emotional state and forces him to believe a fake story of Sher Bano's death. Sohrab claims that Bano committed suicide due to the fact that she could not stand Sarbuland's alleged affair with Biya played by Rabia.

Zanjeerain Episode 20 Review

No sympathy comes from Sohrab's side; instead, he uses guilt. His intention is clear: to make Sarbuland feel guilty for Bano's death and hide the truth once and for all.The conversation shows how Sohrab manages to control the situation with the help of emotional pressure instead of his physical force.

Sarbuland Finally Fights Back

One of the highlights in Episode 20 of Zanjeerain occurs when Sarbuland finally decides to stop suffering in silence. Audiences have been watching him endure in agony, but enough is enough.

Sarbuland rejects Sohrab's claims and the false claim of suicide. His anger is low-key but highly effective, marking the return of Sarbuland's strength, absent in the previous episodes.

This incident is a significant point in the plot, as Sarbuland refuses to accept the position of a victim. His emotional outburst signals the beginning of the fight for the truth about the death of Sher Bano.

The Episode Prioritises Emotion Over Action

Unlike the earlier episodes filled with incidents full of surprises, Episode 20 takes its time.Instead of barreling into yet another melodramatic event, the writers choose instead to dwell on what the tragedy means for character emotions. In each of the episode’s scenes, viewers are allowed to experience the emotion, stress, and confusion of the characters.Although this slower pacing might make some viewers sad, it does make the story more emotionally potent. The episode provides a reminder for the audience that grief cannot just disappear after one disastrous event.

Strong Performances Carry the Episode

Being less notable in regards to the plot developments in the story, the episode remains captivating due to some performances.

Zanjeerain Episode 20 Review: Sarbuland

With one of the strongest emotions in his acting career, performer Danyal Zafar depicts Sarbuland’s heartbreaking experience realistic enough to avoid excess drama.

The actor playing Sohrab also deserves credit for showing manipulative behaviour in a convincing manner instead of being too theatrical.Being brilliant actors, they both create a better atmosphere during the interactions.

Fans React to the Slower Pace

People on various platforms referred to Episode 20 as a required moment of emotional relief following the heavy sadness created in previous episodes.

Some spectators approved of the choice to elaborate upon how Sher Bano's death had affected the main character's mentality instead of revealing a new shocking twist straight away.

Others admit that the episode was somewhat slow-paced, although they agree that it succeeded in creating the atmosphere of anticipation for the upcoming conflict.

The increasing tension between Sarbuland and Sohrab is now in the center of the plot, and everybody is looking forward to seeing how the truth will unfold.

What Episode 20 Means for the Story

With episode 20 of "Zindagi Gulzar Hai", a shift in the direction of the plot is observable. Sarbuland is not planning on taking the blame for crimes and lies of other people anymore. His confrontation with Sohrab hints that the next episodes will be devoted to revealing the truth about what has really taken place in connection to Sher Bano's death. It looks like it will not be easy to have peace of mind as emotions are high and trust is lost.
