Leader Episode 16 Review: Mansoor Faces His Biggest Political Battle Yet
On its June 28th, 2026 episode, HUM TV's Leader Series delivered another high-stakes, high-drama political strategy showdown that incorporated emotional conflict and characters whose tensions and conflicts are rising, but also an escalation in the stakes of the ongoing student election battle. The episode starred Ali Raza (as the lead character Mansoor) and Kinza Hashmi (as Rubab).
During Leader episode 16, political maneuvering increased as the pressure was placed on the contestants who were running for seats in student government, which was significant considering there are now only a few days left until the student election takes place. Mansoor is trying to demonstrate strong leadership and courage and continuing to view his vision as a change agent for the students in the school (against the corrupt and feudal powers) has made him more visible to all the students and he is establishing a good rapport with them, which is giving him credibility throughout this election campaign.
The political opponents to Mansoor have demonstrated the need to bring him (and others that support him) down. It was very evident to all the cast in the episode. As a result, the episode created a lot of plot twists, a lot of conspiracy behind the scenes and a lot of psychological pressure on the characters throughout the episode through their respective plots.
Rubab's character also created additional emotional conflict for the viewer to consider, due to her loyalty to her family and her feelings towards Mansoor. Several powerful and emotional scenes were created between Rubab and Mansoor that created depth to both of their characters.
Mansoor vs Power: The Core Conflict
Mansoor’s adventure still is at the core of the play. As a farmer's son, Mansoor represents resistance to oppression. His fight no longer is only about him; it represents hope for more students to seek change.
In Episode 16, we saw that his adversaries are more afraid of his voice than anything else; they don’t want to openly debate him; they would rather use covert means and control him.
The result is that the conflict of the play is stronger, as it deals with much more than the election; it deals with issues of power, class, influence, and resistance.

Ali Raza had one of his best performances thus far. His character of Mansoor was very real, strong, and emotionally based.
Kinza Hashmi also put on an impressive show as Rubab and was able to blend her weaknesses and her strengths.

Leader Episode 17 Expectations
