Imran Ashraf Awan is one of the most recognized and successful actors and writers in Pakistani television. He was raised in Islamabad where he also completed his education. He did not enter the entertainment industry until the late 2000’s. In 2011, He entered the acting industry when he had a supporting role in Wafa Kaisi Kahan Ka Ishq, and again in a serial called Mere Meherban (2014). His turning point as an actor was when he performed in “Dil Lagi” (2016) and “Alif Allah Aur Insaan” (2017), in which he played Shammo – a transgender. His performance was rated as sensitive and powerful, and won him acclaim. In 2018, he took on the role of Bhola in “Ranjha Ranjha Kardi”. Bhola is a character with developmental challenges. Imran’s performance not only earned him praise but also the Best Actor Lux Style Award and marked him as one of the finest talents in Pakistan. Imran was previously married to Kiran Ashfaque, but the couple are now divorced. They have one son, Roham Ashraf. Imran is also an exceptional writer. His script Tabeer(2018) was recognized for his writing abilities and novel way of story writing. he acted in bigger and better leading roles in Kahin Deep Jaley (2019), Mushk (2020), and Raqs-e-Bismil (2021). Imran also took another leap in 2022, and expanded his role as a host, with Mazaaq Raat. He is humble, talented, and refuses to play it safe; Imran Ashraf continues to be one of the most well-respected and loved figures working in Pakistani entertainment industry.
